Why record where an interview passage may be used?
A destination log connects a selected passage to an outline, exhibit, episode, memo, chapter, or follow-up task, making handoff more actionable and helping reviewers find every intended reuse.
A destination is not permission
Typing exhibit panel or episode three does not clear the passage for that use. Write the decision in plain language and retain the original source separately so the index can be audited against something outside the browser project.
Allow multiple destinations
The same passage may support several drafts; keep the list explicit rather than hiding reuse in free-form comments. Review the result as a retrieval aid rather than a conclusion. Human-authored fields must remain visibly distinct from exact source-derived text.
Review after source changes
A recaptured or reverified passage should be checked in every destination where wording or context matters. Carry the limitation into the frozen edition and passive handoff so a recipient can understand what was checked, what was not checked, and what remains their responsibility.
