How can a podcast team retrieve interview moments before editing?
Import the authorized transcript, capture exact time-linked passages, record episode or segment destinations, check important wording against local media, and share a passive select sheet without modifying the recording.
Separate research from production
The workroom does not remove filler, create clips, mix sound, write show notes, or update an editing timeline. Write the decision in plain language and retain the original source separately so the index can be audited against something outside the browser project.
Keep attribution visible
Speaker labels and exact context reduce the chance that a memorable line loses the question or qualification around it. Review the result as a retrieval aid rather than a conclusion. Human-authored fields must remain visibly distinct from exact source-derived text.
Recheck final edits
Timecodes and context can change after cutting; verify quotations and participant permissions in the actual release workflow. Carry the limitation into the frozen edition and passive handoff so a recipient can understand what was checked, what was not checked, and what remains their responsibility.
