Listening field note

What should I know before using this local passage indexer?

The workroom stores transcript text and notes in browser storage, links local media only for the current tab, derives passage wording from exact segments, detects source drift, and cannot determine consent, rights, truth, sensitivity, or publication approval.

Does the app upload my interview?

No application upload or runtime network path exists. Hosted use still makes ordinary requests to the chosen static host, and browser or device access remains outside the app. Write the decision in plain language and retain the original source separately so the index can be audited against something outside the browser project.

Does media stay linked after reload?

No. File objects are deliberately session-only. Relink authorized local audio or video when you need playback; the checkpoint contains transcript text and metadata, never media bytes. Review the result as a retrieval aid rather than a conclusion. Human-authored fields must remain visibly distinct from exact source-derived text.

Does media-checked mean cleared?

No. It records that a person listened at the locator. It does not identify the voice, verify facts, document consent, determine rights, or authorize use. Carry the limitation into the frozen edition and passive handoff so a recipient can understand what was checked, what was not checked, and what remains their responsibility.
